Biography
JONAS LINDSTRÖM
Swedish born Jonas Lindström found his passion for photography early in life. After receiving his first Instamatic camera as a young boy he started the path to becoming the celebrated photographer he is today. It became a kind of obsession to express himself visually through his images. He spent countless hours in the darkroom, learning the techniques of developing. When he later in life studied computer engineering it was to master the digital process behind imaging creation. He became a brilliant technician.
Jonas aesthetic is characterized by the constant presence of the unexpected in everything he does, something widely appreciated by the numerous international design brands that he works for. Jonas is a board member of Svensk Form Småland and a part of the management team of the most prominent school of photography in Sweden. While working mainly within a commercial setting, Jonas also continues to stretch his creative barriers through ongoing art projects. He is a creative multi talent with a unique attention to detail, exquisite lighting and passion for his work. Today he divides his time between fine art photography, commercial photography, filmmaking and creative direction.
His work has been published in Wallpaper, Frame, Elle Deco, Residence Magazine and Vogue amongst others. He has worked with brands such as Condé Nast, Orrefors, Kosta Boda, Karl Lagerfeld, Missoni, Bolon, ateljé Lyktan and Playsam.
